These constellations are located along the path that the Sun and the planets follow as seen from the Earth. The Sun path crosses Capricornus between the 22th December - 20th January (30 days).
Its name is Latin for "the horned goat" and it is the 40th largest of the 88 modern constellations in the sky. It is the smallest of all Zodiac constellations
