Virgo is one of the zodiac constellations.
These constellations are located along the path that the Sun and the planets follow as seen from the Earth. The Sun path crosses Virgo between the 24th August – 23th September (30 days).
Its name is Latin for "maiden" and it is the 2nd largest of the 88 modern constellations in the sky.
